Who’s in you’re circle? What mom’s positively impacted the adult or mother you are today? Take a minute, think about them. Thank them and say a blessing for them. I hope you are learning parenting and “adulting” from REAL face to face relationships, not just super cute graphics on social media. Jesus himself saw the value of sharing his own mother and the value of his mother’s sister, and other women in his inner circle:
“One day, you will be in a position where the watchers will become respecters. They will leave your presence and tell others they are happy to know who you are and what you do. AND, you will be thankful that you were born with a nub, because it is a beautiful part of you, but it doesn’t define you. You will define it. You will change lives because of it.”
As I laid my head to rest last night, anxiety crept in like a thief, waiting until I was just drowsy enough to lack the alertness to pull out my weapons and fire away.
I’m often told, by those that know me the best, how “strong” I am. I am not. I look back at what all my day, week, year and life has entailed and I think, “How did I do all of that? Get through all of that?”. “I” didn’t.
Here’s My Secret:
Revelations 21:5 says “5 And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” So, with that simple scripture of HOPE for a future and that GOD alone is the author and creator of all good…
I often share with my boys the scripture I am praying over them and why. I will even pray these prayers over them by laying on of hands. Even if they are in a rebellious season, their spirit draws comfort from knowing their parents are doing battle for them when they themselves may seem incapable, unworthy, or uninterested. Do your children know you pray for them?
“When was the last time someone stared at your child because of their difference? How did YOU react?”
