I’m sharing an original graphic here on Thursdays, designed to make you think. As children of God, we are not called to be perfect but we are called to be more. I want to highlight some aspects of our flesh that need to be simply turned over to the Holy Ghost, our Counselor for change. I hope you enjoy them and the meditate on the scripture prayer that speaks to my heart and helps me to focus on becoming more righteous as I exchange my weakness for His strength. Read the quick devotional and prayer I’ve written for you below. I pray it blesses as it cleanses.
This scripture needs no commentary, other than personally, it led me to freedom peace. Meditate on it. Forgive. Be a builder, not a destroyer. Your peace of mind will thank you.
Ephesians 4:26 “In your anger do not sin” : Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold. 28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. 29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Oh Great God of Peace,
Thank you for giving me the redemptive power of peace over my anger and malice toward others. Thank you for granting me holy and sacred peace, in mind and soul, as I release to you the burden of my intolerant flesh. Thank you for granting me eyes that sparkle with the joy of your mercy and words that drip with your healing kindness like honey. Help me to be a spirit builder and not a joy stealer.
In Jesus Mighty Name,
Be a blessing and a vessel of His light,
